Anger is a strong emotion of discomfort caused by some kind of harm that is real or perceived as a real person. The cognitive behavioral theory has many factors, such as past experience, learning from others, lack of genetic predisposition and problem-solving ability. Simply put, anger is caused by a combination of two factors: the irrational perception of reality ("You have to do my way") and a low frustration point ("I am the way or in no way"). Anger is an internal reaction that seems to be an external cause. Angry people almost always blame their reactions to a man or something, but rarely realize that their cause is angry because of their irrational perception. Angry people have a certain perception and expectation of the world that they live, and when this reality does not meet their expectations, they are angry.
It is important to understand that not all anger is unhealthy. Anger is one of our most primitive defense mechanisms that protects and motivates us to be dominated or manipulated by others. This gives us the added strength, courage and motivation to fight injustice against us, or to others we love. However, if anger is uncontrolled and at any time free of the mind and body, the anger will be destructive. Just as a person who directs street drug control – a person under the influence of anger can not rationalize, can not understand or make good decisions because anger distorts logical reasoning into blind feelings. You can not think clearly and your emotions take control of your actions. By half the anger in our brain chooses to fight or fly, which increases blood pressure and releases our adrenaline blood flow, thereby increasing our strength and pain threshold. Anger only means two things: (1) Defend, or (2) Attack. None of these are conducive to good negotiation.
The source of inner anger
Our inner revolutionary sources come from an irrational concept of reality. Psychologists have identified four types of thinking that contribute to anger
1. Emotional reasoning. Those who argue emotionally misinterpret normal events and things that other people directly endanger their needs and goals. People using emotional reasoning tend to irritate something innocent that other people tell them because they are attacking themselves. Emotional reasoning can lead to dysfunctional anger in the long run
2. Low frustration tolerance. We all once experienced the time when the frustration tolerance was low. Often, stress-related anxiety reduces tolerance for frustration and makes normal things feel like threats to our welfare or ego threats. Unreasonable expectations. When people demand it, they see things like how and not, as it really is. This reduces the tolerance of frustration as unreasonable expectations are expected of others to act in a certain way or to behave predictably in uncontrollable events. When these things do not go away, anger, frustration and finally depression are set
4. People certification. People evaluate an angry mindset where someone uses a humiliating label for someone else. If we qualify as a "whore" or "villain", dehumanize them and make it easy for them to be angry with humans.
There are hundreds of internal and external events that can upset us, but taking into account the parameters of negotiation, these factors can be limited to four general events
. The person is attacking us personally. On the other side, it encounters the problem in the form of verbal abuse.
2nd The person attacks our ideas. The other side spoils our ideas, opinions, and opportunities.
3rd One is threatening our needs. A person threatens to lose their basic needs if they do not get away, that is, "I'm sure you will never work again in this city."
4th We were frustrated. The level of tolerance can be low or may be influenced by many environmental factors in our lives.
Factors Reducing Tolerance of Frustration
1. Stress / anxiety. When our stress power increases, the tolerance of frustration decreases. That is why there are so many domestic debates and divorces against financial problems.
2nd Pain. Physical and emotional pain reduces frustration tolerance. This is because we are so focused on taking care of our survival needs, that there is no time for anything or anything else.
3rd Drugs / Alcohol. Drugs and alcohol affect how the brain processes information and improves people's feelings or may induce suppressed emotions or memories that can cause anger
. Recent irritations. Recent irritations can also be called "bad days". These are the small irritations that accumulate during the day, which reduces frustration tolerance. Recent irritations can be: step into a stairway, drink coffee on your shirt, work late, catch a traffic jam with a flat tire. You have your own perception and expectation of the world you live in, and when your reality in which you live does not meet your expectations, then you have the right to be angry. Afterwards, if everyone were to think the same, then the world would be a pretty boring place. You're going to run into situations you do not enjoy. You will run into people who do not respect your views and ideas. The feeling of anger is completely grounded in your beliefs and therefore do not abolish or deny these feelings.
If you are right to feel angry, it does not mean that you have the right to support the other person with anger. You can not change the views of other people to suit your own, because as you have their own right to maintain their views for the world.
